SimWorks Anti-Virus Help

SimWorks Anti-Virus scans your phone for viruses. It will scan your phone for viruses automatically at the intervals specified by you in the settings menu. You can also instruct it to scan your phone for viruses immediately by using the “Scan Now” feature under the Anti-Virus menu.

• Activating SimWorks Anti-Virus

  SimWorks Anti-Virus must be activated before it will operate. To activate SimWorks Anti-Virus select the Register menu item from the Help menu and enter the product registration code that you received when purchasing the product into the space provided.

• Setting up SimWorks Anti-Virus

Once you have activated SimWorks Anti-Virus you can configure it to automatically scan your phone for viruses as often as once per hour, once per day or any period in between. By default SimWorks Anti-Virus will scan your phone once every 6 hours. If you would like to change the default autoscan period select the Settings menu item from the Anti-Virus menu and enter your preferred autoscan interval.

• Initiating a manual scan of your phone

You can initiate an immediate scan of your phone for viruses at any time by selecting the Scan Now menu item from the Anti-Virus menu.

• Updating SimWorks Anti-Virus

From time to time SimWorks may release further versions of the Anti-Virus application or the virus definitions, URL lists or firewall rules used by the application to protect your phone. Updates are made available at http://www.simworks.biz/sav/update.php

• Transferring SimWorks Anti-Virus to a new phone

SimWorks Anti-Virus is licensed for use on a single phone. When activating SimWorks Anti-Virus you are provided with a product activation code unique to you and your phone. This product activation code will not enable SimWorks Anti-Virus to operate on any other phone. You can transfer SimWorks Anti-Virus to another phone emailing phonetransfers@simworks.biz href="http://www.simworks.biz/sav/transfer". During the phone transfer procedure you will be required to provide the IMEI of your existing phone and the IMEI of your new phone – if you don't already know the IMEI of your phones you can find out by selecting the About menu item from the Help menu. At the end of the phone transfer procedure you will be issued with a new product activation code that will enable SimWorks Anti-Virus on your new phone and the product activation code used by your old phone will be invalidated.
